There has been great interest in the CHP mini seminar we will be holding in the Green Isle Hotel on Thursday at 11am this week. There are a few places left, so please let me know if you are interested in attending and I will reserve you a spot.
Here is an outline of our agenda for the morning.
10:30am: Tea/Coffee served.
11:00am: Kick off. Presentations in no particular order will be the following:
- Presentation from myself as an introduction to Kinviro and on the general considerations of CHP.
- Presentation from Fergus Wheatley from Smartpower on how to play the market and make the best return for surplus electricity from CHP plants.
- Presentation from David Hanahoe of Bord Gais Networks on expansion plans for the BGE network, connections procedures and costs and types of connections.
- Presentation from Mark Holtmann of 2G on their range of natural gas and biogas fired CHP units, some case studies and a description of the first 2G site in Ireland, a 500KW biogas project in Derry.
12:45: Lunch
We’re keeping it nice and informal so hoping there will be lots of questions thrown at us on the day and lively informative discussion ensues!
